Kind of a cool day!!!

Thot i wud get by 7:30 am as i usually do however it didnt happen so!! Got up by 8:30am.Did a serious course study,did a couple of sample Online tests on Network+ Technican course.Until Naima calls me up on my Mob and tells abt herself and how she has been doin all dis while.GOSH,she had been here for a very long time,from December 2004 to August 2005.

Der's gonna be a really keul reunion this week,Naima and me were juz talking abt it.

Got 2 unexpected hi5 msgs in my inbox. One from Anuj Vohra who was my old time buddy in ISM.Really a surprise. And the other is Hamid who was my class mate in ISM.He's in town too.He gave me his cell asking him to get in contact as soon as possible.Well,it was very late by de time i read it.

Classes went k..Mr Abdul Rehman who takes N+ came 20 minutes late.i was so plesed when these ppl who are my classmates(Foreigners+Arabs) said tht they didnt need a break and wanted de staff to continue with his teaching.He was teaching abt de routers and client server structure.

Oracle tho v had a lot of tables to be created and inserting values in to them.But yea, was kind of fun.I really had a nice time talking with de Receptionist tdy,she really got a good accent.

Dad bought a Soda maker from LULU Hypermarket so tht he need not buy soda from de shop daily for his 1 peg of Liquor he has daily. However,dad and me were bizy working with it's manual and de instructions and our performance dint seem to be matching.Gez der was a complaint.Got to get it replaced tommorrow.
Think dad is a bit disturbed abt it.

Bro dint call up de whole day.....

Yipeeeee....no classes until saturday.Fun time......

Tdy dont seem to be a really easy going day....as de day was ending, de stand for hanging up de clothes too broke!!!

COURSES ----> bEGIN

The word "BoRed" doesnt occur to my mind nemore.Coz of de simple reasons tht i have started goin 4 de Oracle 9i application Developer course and de Network+ Technician course.Well,tdy was de 3rd day.It's really being interesting and fun studyin these tecnical professional courses.

De only unique thing is tht i am de ONLY INIDAN in my class. De majority of them are de Omani guyz and gals who r totally of high calibre and few from Foreign countries such as England, Australia e.t.c Another unique matter is most of them are employees too. I guess i'm de youngest in de class. :-)

Made a lot of new Arab frenz------> its de first time too. I happened to speak with Michael John Nicholsan who is my class mate in de Oracle Lab. He seems to be in de Military in England(his home town) who came for a 27 month contract for the Oman military.Got some of my class mates working in PDO,MOD(Ministry of Defence),another work in a telecom company who is incharge of the SMS department.

Havent really introduced to any of de arab gals except for the receptionist in PolyGLOT....Wonder how they would react unlike Indian gals.LoL.. Well, de timing too isnt a problem either,its from 5-9 in de evening!!

Got in Contact with Jaganath yesterday.He told me he had come de day before yesterday to Muscat.He is hopefully here till the end of June.Called up Naima tdy,She happened to know tht i was in town so i got her number from her hi5 msg she had sent me.Never knew she stayed close to my house.Megna said she would come on
June 25th.Jayanth is already in town.Jagu said he wud SMS me his number.He dint do it yet.Anoop will be also b present here by June 25th. GOSH,Got a lot of ppl to meet. Really gonna be like a get-2-geather.Dhivya is already in town but no signs of her...shud be bizy i gez...

Mom had a terrible stomach ache early morning.Went off by afternoon.In a way, her stomach ache which turned out to be beneficial for others too coz dad saw de kitchen for the first time,he learned to cook,i learned to make black coffee better and moreover her ache vanished too.Thnx bro for the timely help u did.

Woah, i never knew my mom could make pizza very well.gr8.....

Juz came back from de classes....really tired.

Tdy was my cousin sister's b'day!!!She's in India.

Boring is de WoRd!!!

Once i believed on the thought " I wish i juz finished with my studies " . But Now i started havin 2nd thots. It's better than sittin @ home doin nuthin other than travel in de world of Internet.

Its really difficult 2 get a Job out here... U shud either have xperience or there shud be sum1 who has to recommend u strongly. However, i decided 2 do 2 courses for these 2 months so tht i specialise in sumthin. The courses are :

1 > Oracle 9i developer
2 > Network+ Technician

I gez these cud help me get jobz out here eazier. Starts from day after tommorrow.

Downloaded de NEW Beta version of de YAHOO messenger. It's got a lot of new features.Its got a call feature tht allows to talk with ppl who r online.It juz acts like a telephone which has got a voice mail. The important thing abt this is the quality is crystal clear.No disturbance @ all.Atleast not 4 me.Its got de new Audibles in HINDI.We can share de photos juz by draging them in to the chat window.Its gud enuf.And it's got quite a lot of new features added.

Dhivya shud hv reached Muscat by now.She's juz here 4 2 weeks.Her family r shifting over since her dad has got a new job in Abu Dhabi.

Went 2 get my resident card yesterday.Gosh, they have made that place very hig tech and a very faster way of transaction and processing. Fully automated....got de resident card within 20 minutes. Its got a laser finger print recogonizer, digital pen pad for the signature, a highlt automated digital
camera(thts not a big deal) and @ de final counter, de finger print needs to be authenticated again in order to get de resident card.Pretty amazed with their new setup.

Oman's got de similar method of havin pre-paid sim cards like wht v have in INIDA(BSNL,AIRTEL...),they r called by de names HAYYAK & NAWRAS. I got de Nawras...pretty keul.... validity upto 1 year.gr8.....

Its really boring out here since none of my old frenz havent come yet.... they r yet 2 come...The ones here have got their xamz goin on... So i am in a deadlock...LoL

First of all, i am really sorry for not updating my blog coz of several reasons which i need to really tell u abt in my next blog. The reasons were :

1 ) I had gone to MARMUL for a 5 day visit, thts where my bro works. It's de off shore area. It's a desert. heeheee i really have to tell u abt my experience and pics i took from there. it wud be simply gr8.

2 ) My second interview at IVMS ( In Vechile Monitoring System)...waiting 4 de results.

3 ) My system had a failure. A sickening virus attacked which lead me to no other choice than to format the whole sytem and do it all over again. Since i dint have de setup CD's i had to give to one of de system administrators.

K, these are de topics which my next blog is going to be focused on....

But NOW I AM SO XCIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDd coz i got to know my final result juz an hour back!!! And i cleared all my arrears and all my papers!!! I am now a SUCCESSFUl ENGINEER.

I got my system today so i was bizy with its assembling and i was so eager to get myself online. I had a long queue of offlines... I had one from Neethu sayin Congrats. It dint click me first then i thot " did she mean tht?? "

Suddenly Ninan who was online happen to see my result and said that i passed. I juz got into de site and saw dat colourful web page of mine after a veeeeerrry long time.. :-D

I hurried to my parents bedroom, Mom was bizy putting de clothes bck to cupboard. She got scared of my emotional xpressions. Later, v laughed a lot recollecting tht picture again. Dad felt happy too......how can they both NOT be happy!!!!

Miss "SWEETY", i passed dear!!!!! So i am coming for de Convocation Ceremony in August.

My first INTERVIEW……..

My dad’s surely helping me get a job through his 35 years of influence & experience in MUSCAT.He prefers me to work in Muscat. Moreover, I too don’t have any problem. I had this sudden interview call by my dad in the morning. The company?? Some MCT Techno Park known by some other name…I 4got. I later came to know thru Brian that it was a huge company near to their BITS college. They presently work for ROP(Royal Oman Police).

K…..so I enter their Location with a neat and impressive resume of mine which my brother had helped with it. They seemed to like the format of my resume. But, I later realized tht I had made some mistakes in my resume. For the Language Known column, I had specified I speak French and Arabic. Well,de fact is I DON’T very well. So, de second time I enter to meet with the Manager or Director….whtever u call it??!!! ,I have the interview getting started……Infact he was de one who opened de door, so I thot he wudnt be of much importance to me but later I was told tht he is the Director of the company. Oops…..wht did I do??

Seriously Frenz, he doesn’t even look like one…..May be it shud be his logical power in his brain tht made him to tht post. He started his interview by asking something in FRENCH…sumthin like ..commence vous??...i heard it tht way!!! Well,u know de fact on my side….we juz studied French for 2 yrs,9th and 10th, moreover I used to mess around with Mrs Vidya durin skool dayz,rite???

Fine…I answered,I aint tht fluent in FRENCH,,,wht else cud hv I said?? One possibility cud b tht I cud have blabbered something making him realize tht he doesn’t know French…heheheheee
He started the rapid fire round with a set of questions on JAVA,JSP,SERVLETS,abt my project,deployment descriptor…Well,all I cud say is tht I MESSED EVERYTHIN UP ….:-)) heeheee LOL…. It doesn’t matter much to me, coz I have always a backup way when one way is blocked and yea…this is only my FIRST INTERVIEW. Bro gave me a lot of valuable tips after tht.

From the interviewer appearance, I analysed tht he was a Muslim,he had no accent of his own.The way he was tryin to speak was like …..i cudnt barely hear this dude,and his YUK accent…He was askin me de question and he was answering de questions later. Some kind of tution ??? :-? It was like he was tryin to show me tht he knows everything.

Went 2 Skool tdy in de evening. Some Antakshari competition was goin on in the main hall near to the old basket ball court. A new bulding is being built up after they demolished the mountain.Rest,the skool looks de very same…I suppose coz it was in de evening…..the lights weren’t on in de field.

I cudnt join for tomm’s. Chess competition coz its only for kids upto 18 yrs old.

Sorry,Miss “SWEETY” I had 2 keep de phone without ne proper ending coz some family frenz of mine were askin me to open the door .They wanted to meet me….

I may go to my brothers work area the day after tomorrow….

Spoke with Brian tdy, he’s got his xams coming up. He said he wud like to do M.TECH in Banglore after the B.E. course.

My dad’s know every Tom,Dick and Harry out here in Oman……my resume will b gone to another 10 companies within 2 dayz!!!! Lets hope 4 de best.

Went 2 LULU center tdy too, its really difficult walking around de whole place. My leg started 2 ache…..

Dad was really upset in de morning since i got up very late,mainly coz of 2 reasons.

1) I am an IT Engineer NOW, i neead to focus on my priorities.
2) He wanted me to accompany him in the car. :-(

Started havin gud,rich and nutritious food.Decided to put on some weight from now onwards.I happened to juz visit my blog and i find two comments from Vijay,he had asked me to give him a miss call to the number he had mentioned in my blog.I did as he said, he calls me back immediately.

Me : "Hi Mr.Vijay,it's Peter"
Mom on the other line L : "hello??"
Me : " It's 4 me"
Mom : //keeps the phone down..tells me " U juz came yesterday,how do ppl know tht u ended up here so fast?? " heehee

She really gets worried abt de phone bill when i'm concerned.

I was under the impression tht Vijay waz sumbody who was sum1 of my age. But, he turns out to be a guy who's much more elder than me,who is married and has got 2 kids. He is working as the production Manager in some company which has been setup for the first time in Muscat.It was really nice talking to u Mr. Vijay.Do keep in Touch.

Finally in OMAN!!!

The Wheels finally made its final friction while making its landing!! However, i never had the kind of excitement i used to have when ever i used to visit Oman previously. May b coz i knew tht i dint have to go back 2 India immediately. Tht was really sumthin tht i wud miss.

I was lucky enuf to give away all my luggage at the place of embarkment. The maximum luggage one cud carry was 30 K. When i placed the entire baggage of mine,i had a small prayer running in my mind too.Well,their weighing scale showed an weight of 30.15K. Lucky enuf!! I guess the air hostess r so dedicated 2 the airways coz they look like as if they r in their 40's.May be they dont juz feel like leaving their profession at their old age.They had their same old $hit movie running on their TV's as well as their breakfast.Y dont they ever change their menu???

I finally came out of the MCT airport after all the procedures being done.I thot parents wud be on time to recieve me. But dint happen to find ne1. I thot they were late this time too.... I steped out of the airport,suddenly my parents gave me surprise from behind tryin to convey tht they cud never be late on this particular day.I finally got my smile back on seeing my parents.Drove back home.

Mom were recollecting the old sweet memories we had been working together during the initial stages of my colleg LIFE.4 years juz really flew fast.On reaching home,Dad was being focused abt my carrier right from the time i landed.He has also considered my future studies in Melbourne Univesity in Australia.The overall cost tht wud end up there wud be 20 Lakhs.Tht cud be a slight problem i suppose. ;-) Parents and me juz spoke,spoke and spoke about all my experiences. Really so glad tht i am back for them. Met all my neighbours...Kids hv grown up to higher classes NOW.Some have put on height up to mine and no comments abt my weight :-))

Spoke with my brother over the phone since he cud not turn up from his work place.Bro,v need to seriously work on sumthin wht v call PEACE...hope u understood wht i meant.

I saw my room with the 4 empty walls.Looked so boring. I worked on it at night shifting the computer to my room.Connected de phone line to my room. Put up a few placards and posters on the walls for the time being.Made it sumthin like the old skool dayz time.

Need to work on the final road test so tht i cud finally get the licence out here.

Did a kind of shopping in LULU center @ 9:30 pm. Tht used to be de time where i wud been slept long back in India.

Did a major sleeping coz of the time difference between the 2 cuintries.Well, Oman isnt humid @ all like tht of Kerala.Happy abt tht.

Hasnt really got in contact with ne of my old frenz out here. :-(

Christina cud not make it 4 de get-2-geather coz her granpa passed away tdy morning!! :-( Got to know thru SHRN.So plan cancel.

SHRN is leavin tonite to Saudi,tht means tomm is gonna be an even more boring day 4 me.

Wonder if all those moves really exist such as the TOAD style,Palm style,Lions Roar...heeheee...The movie turned out to be somethin really funny!!I was expecting something else from it!!hehee

Do u NOW realize how ppl of older generations in INDIA may be in Kerala especially differentiate between FRIENDSHIP and LOVE?? Hey,it's really SAD tht i cudnt update my blog yesterday since it was a sunday and all de cafe's were closed. Moreover, it was my dad's b'day!! Cudnt wish him early morning but i had to find some way out coz my two phones @ home are temperoraly cut down,no enuf balance in my cell to make an ISD call and ALL STD booths closed being a sunday and tht too in the morning. I tried SMS'ing asking my brother to make my dad call me up. I dont think he got the msg. MOM calls me up and reminds me to wish him.

Grrr...i lost tht opportunity also... Fine,i tried giving him miss calls wondering that he wud feel it wud be somethin urgent and call me BACK!!! But hell with the MCT telcom center, they have messed around with the numbers and changed the numbers slightly!!! I cudnt get the xact number!!! Finally, he called me up and i wished him even b4 he said hello.

I was juz goin thru GREY Vampires blog,his ideas abt 'DAN BROWN'. Especially abt the "DA VINCI CODE". Really very INTERESTING AND ADDICTIVE BOOK!!!! I hate his predictions or theories or whtever u call it he tried to convey in tht book.He thought he cud make a theory of his own since most of us rnt aware of Christianity in deep.No matter its the truth or NOT, i know one thing tht OPUS DEI still exists and so do the HOLY GRAIL according to them.
